Orange-Hazelnut Granita

An Italian ice made with fresh squeezed orange juice, Elmhurst™ Milked Hazelnuts, and orange zest.

Yield: 12 Servings
Serving size: approx. ½ cup


2 cup Elmhurst™ Milked Hazelnuts
2 cup Orange Juice
1 cup Sugar, Granulated
1 tbsp. Lemon Juice


  1. In a small pot, combine all ingredients and bring to a simmer until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Pour mixture into a shallow baking dish and place in the freezer.
  3. Stir every hour for 4-6 hours until the mixture is granular like a slushy.
  4. Cover and refreeze or serve immediately.
