Hazelnut French Toast

Battered classic French toast made with cinnamon, vanilla, and Elmhurst™ Milked Hazelnuts, topped with strawberries, bananas, and sprinkled with powdered sugar.

Prep time: about 25 mins.
Yield: 10 Servings
Serving size: 1 slice of prepared toast, approx. ¼ cup berries


1 ½ Cup Elmhurst™ Milked Hazelnuts

4 Eggs, Large
1 Tbsp. Almond Extract
1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
1 tsp. Cinnamon, Ground
1 tsp. Nutmeg
Cooking Spray
10  Bread Slices, Thick Cut
1 pint Strawberries, Sliced
2 Bananas, Sliced


  1. Mix Elmhurst™ Milked Hazelnuts, eggs, almond extract, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg together in a large mixing bowl with a whisk.
  2. Heat a non-stick pan to medium heat and spray with cooking spray.
  3. Dredge each slice of bread in the mixture and pan fry until golden brown.
  4. Top with strawberries and bananas and serve.
